Probably a dumb question,

Can't seem to figure out how to pull out the driven gear. Trans is completely torn down to an empty case.
There's a bolt with a flat bracket that presses up against where the speedo cable screws onto the trans,
but no idea how to yank that assembly out. Gear in there looks like it's dark cherry color.

Was also curious if there is a color code ID sheet so I know if I really have to swap it out or not.
Is this accurate ?? http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Techinfo/speedo_gears.asp#2004R

Anyone clue in a trans newb here ?? I have to swap it out to a 28 driven gear and
a 10 drive gear on my governor. 3.73 rear and 27" tall tire.

Got the combo from this calculator which only works in Internet explorer BTW.

I have had to use heat to get some out. A little plumbers torch and put heat around the outside of case. (aluminum melts @ 1200 degrees) If you have a speedo cable nut to run on first then use vice grips to rotate it. LUBE well when reinstalling. Best of luck.

SO this is threaded or just a pressure fit with O-rings ? No speedo nut on hand....guess I'll have to find something.
Thanks.

Damn, didn't realize Chris comes on here still.
Sup bro, it's Stacey from Chicago. I'm torn down, just waiting for the rest of the parts and your manual.
Having a good time doing it. Low / Reverse tool didn't even need, just flipped it upside down and got the gear out.
Not sure if I'll really need it on the reinstall thou :p
