I tried the pressure washer didnt work . hose wasnt strong enough it was weak

You can use some lacquer thinner or naptha solvent to remove the white strip also.

its already on the car . should i try the paint thnner on a rag and try rubbing it out ?

Being it's already on the car, Take your air hose and a blower nozzle, get alittle place started and start blowing. Most of it will blow off. Then use any of those thinners to get the rest off. Has worked for me plenty of times.

You can also just go over it maybe 2 times with a black magic marker- they dont call them MAGIC for nothing! One of Kirbans old tricks.

Those are some pretty creative ideas and some time consuming ones using the Q-tips. I myself just paint the whole strip with (Krylon 1613 semi flat black) spray paint from your local auto parts store and you would NEVER know the difference.
