Looks nice on your rug:) Bet you can't wait to have it on your car:D

Thats right, and i am hoping my 60's go down from 1.7s to 1.4XX

Sweet lookin kit! HR is one of the best vendors in my book. I almost got one of those bars but got talked into the Wolfe bar. I'll end up putting one of those on my other car.

So by looking at the kit,,please tell me what in there makes the wait soooooo Freeeaakin long.........Is that plutonium fused cold rollled stainless with the optional nitrite finish ,then powder coated black:eek:    ;)

Looks sweet...
seriously how long is the wait...

At the time paul was moving, but the wait was around 6 months. I am sure now he is up to date with his orders and that you would get one much sooner.

The GM 8.5 kit is $459 from HR direct, it may be cheaper at a vendor. I have just installed it this afternoon, Pretty tough job crawling under the car without a hoist, took a few hours, and some patience. No road test yet, as it is snowing right now.

Do you think this bar will be a significant improvement over the ATR bar that is selling for alot less money

Yes i do This bar is very light copmpared to the ATR, and works on bettter geometry as far as i can tell.

Actually, I could probably get plutonium fused cold rolled stainless quicker, but might not be able to get it bent up :)

For those not aware of manufacturing & the steel industry, there is a big shortage & prices are skyrocketing :( It seems the Chinese are buying up everything in sight. What was redily availble 3 months ago is now special order. We used to get a price quote that was good for 15-30 days, depending on our source. Now it is 48 HOURS to a max of 3 days! Prices are going up faster than gas prices. This time we had to go directly to the steel mill, order up 5000 pounds of it, just to get some at a decent price for future orders. And doing that, it takes months to get it instead of days. It is so expensive to begin with, but we are now paying double just to get some in 2 weeks. But, that's only part of the problems here. Once we do get material, the bender is so busy that he has to try & squeeze us in between other jobs & setups. The machine is so expensive that we can't get one & do it in house yet. Then it's of to the heat treater, fitting it into his schedule. Then, I finally get it to drill the holes, clean up, and get to the powder coater & deal with his schedule. THEN I can get it boxed up, assuming all the other parts are laser cut, bent, welded, blasted, cleaned, painted, etc without one little item missing to hold up shipping. In the mean time, it's weeks & months that our cash flow is tied up into thousands of pounds of material, laser cutting, bending, components, rod ends, plating (done twice lately :( ), etc., along with the same thing for our control arms, motor mounts, and other stuff. Sometimes I think we would be better off sitting around doing nothing & invest our money elsewhere. But then we wouldn't have all the headaches, pressure, upset waiting customers, accounting & tax issues, etc, etc, etc, and then I might be able to have a car & the time to race myself

Anyways, right now we are quoting 6 weeks on new orders, which is right before the Nat's. I am finishing up on about 30 here that are already sold & past due. I am still 15-20 short, but this next batch should take care of them & have extra for new orders. We will be doing everything in our power to have some ready at the Nat's. We STRONGLY advise reserving or ordering one ASAP to get one there. I doubt we will have enough to cover the demand, even if all goes well between now & then. If you order & specify deliver to nats, we won't charge the credit card until then, or give a slight cash discount there, plus save on shipping. We plan to setup an installation center there, so for a moderate fee (under $100) you can get it installed in a couple hours & try it out! We planned it last year, but couldn't get any ready in time. Hope that helped!

PS- great pic!

You forgot to mention customers, crying on the internet, wheres my bar!

Thats no BS about the metal, and it sucks. We build sheet metal duct work at my company, and we are going to be forced to buy a very large quanity so we don't run out. Its going to cause me to raise prices. :(

Yep, that and with the gas prices going up, we are finding out it costs more to do all outside labor/services because their costs went up. Just read something on how all this is eating up the tax break we supposedly got this year. We plan to hold prices to Bowling Green Nat's, but might have new prcing in our catalog for future orders. Won't be anything major, but just can't make the stuff for the same price anymore. We were about due a price change on a couple things anyway. We will add package discounts too, so that might offset any possible increases.

Just bites that the gas prices are like a monopoly. They could jack them to 4.00 a gallon, we still got to go from place to place to get things done. I will be looking at driving a beater to run around in that get's better mileage than our shop truck. Oh well, can't have it all. Need a turbo 6 datsun or mazda to run around in :)
