i think in order for GM to survive long term,it will be only Chevrolet and Cadillac standing.
like Toyota & Lexus, Honda and Acura.

I've heard that Hummer is gettin canned for sure, as for GMC no idea:confused:

I don't really see a need for GMC, everything they have Chevy or Cadillac has. As for the Hummer, people with $$$$$ buy those and those people still have $$$$$, so I can't see gas prices phasing their customer base.

well, hummer sales have declined in the past years and thats why the hummers probably gonna b done for awhile, my guess itll b back just like the camaro. but i definantly agree about u about GMC

I love GMC trucks, but would never buy a Chevrolet pick-up...even if they are pretty much the same rig, it's just a quirk that GMC owners have. Pontiac should have gone out with Olds.

Buick's only saving grace is it's overseas sales, it needs a domestic kick in the ass.

Have heard a LOT of talk about Hummer going away, haven't heard about GMC but it makes sense though. The only original or esclusive product they have is the Acadia.

The GMC Arcadia is the same as the Buick Enclave and the Saturn Outlook(I think its called outlook???)

Buick has a chance to carve out some market share with the enclave. The V6crossover is a good idea. I can see Saturn and Buick surviving but some streamlining is definitely in order.

Plenty of crap out there on Hummer. I haven't heard anything on GMC. Other than Toyota sold more Tundras than Sierras for the last 2 or 3 months. Not good as far as the Posuer truck market anyway. The Jimmy brand might start to sweat if Toyota decides to make a decent work or HD truck model.

How many have heard this joke?

Q: What's the difference between Chevy and GMC?

A: GMC uses lockwashers.

I always thought GMC was our Toyota of trucks here in America. They seem to push that market harder than Chevy.

I'd bet Citi Bank recommends GM make the Hummer a small niche market and maybe even jack UP the price. Make it even rarer to own one but make a good profit on the few you sell, seems to work on all the top $$ vehicles.

Ditching that brand would be a bad idea IMO, people notice that vehicle so make it rare and expensive, works in the boat world.
