Hunting at part throttle 20-25 mph

Pondering if this is common.
If I am putting down the road or drive way sometimes at about 20-25 mph the trans bounces between gears. Other than that I've got no complaints with my transmission.

Absolutely, anytime a shift kit with larger than stock feedholes is used. Many threads with the same issue.

there are several 'fixes' posted, but all (other than tightening the TV cable) require fiddling with the valve body.

Swapping to a different valve body or reinstalling the ModTV Up spring (I think thats the one) are the 2 fixes that supposedly work. I have not tried either.

Mine does it and it, and I don't like it.... But I just avoid driving in the range where it happens.

Mine with a CQ vb does this too, it has a CK shift kit, and it has the mod TV up spring in. Like Bob says try to avoid that speed.
