I was wondering if the Hurst Lightening Rod setup from the 83 or 84 Hurst Olds worked in our cars. The H/Os got the 200-4Rs, and the center console looked pretty similar to ours in the Pic....anyway, does anybody know?

thanks,
Nish Limaye

I have them installed in my car, have no pics but it bolts right in...but i had to modifiy my console and purchase an overlay from BUICK FROM HELL... he makes those to fit our consoles

yeah, it'll work fine. the hard part is finding a complete setup with working shifters, the brackets and cable and not paying an arm and a leg for it. most ive seen go for $500-$800

I bought mine (complete) bracket, cable, shifter all the goodies for $285 E-BAY just had to hook everything up...:D

DAMN!! you gots lucky!

My '83 TR has a 200-4R. I bet the '83 H/O did as well.

There are many 3-speed Lightning Rods set-ups that were sold as aftermarket for other cars.

The reason I brought it up is someone in my club had one they were selling cheap so I went to check it out.It was a rusty 83' HO and it had the lightning rods but there was a 3-speed auto in it and I could'nt use the shifters for that reason.Maybe in 83 it could be had with either?? This came up once before right around the time I looked at this car but I can't remember who set it strait.

All 83-84 H/O's with the "9" code 307 came with the THM200-4R. FYI in 1983 the only cars to use a 200-4R were the turbo Regal and the H/O.
