I know buickgn.com has the shifter console that will work with the Hurst Quarter Stick, but will this also work with the $70 cheaper B&M Pro Stick? They appear to be darn near identical in Jegs and Summit catalogs.

Finally, how hard are these shifters to install? I have never done this before, but I will have the console torn apart to install the wiring and switch for the electric exhaust cutout, so this would probably be a good time to do this all at once.

please post pics if you have either shifter installed with the console in place

Thanks!!!

i have the pro stick in my car. Not hard to install. You will have to grind off the extra metal on the bottom of the console overlay. I contacted buickgn about his overlays and he sent me the hurst quarter stick pattern and i then made adjustments to it and he then made me the overlays with my correct shift patter(reverse valve body). turned out nice. If he still has my pattern for the b&m pro stick you can use it but have him take an additional 1/8 inch out on the left and top sides of the cut out for the shifter as it was really close in my case but did work. You also have to grind out where the new shifter will sit. It sits in the middle of the console now and thats where the new overlay will cover up the widened slot. I can send pics but it pretty much looks just like the hurst quarter stick.
