Not many are using Husek's new converters, so I figure I'd post this here.

Finally got everything up and running today the way it is supposed to and I will say the car drives awesome. Drives like it's stock. Everything functions as it should. I did have a few hiccups along the way but Dave was there every step of the way to help get things figured out. Lockup works great with no shudders or anything. WOT may need a little tuning yet but for the money spent on the trans and converter I have no complaints. I feel it's gonna be a good street/strip setup for my car. It's a slight feels bit tighter than the 3200 10in ptc I had but it really puts the power down more than it ever had before. Even the wife says the car drives better, and that says a lot! Another great vendor for the turbobuick community.

Cool. I have his 3021 waiting to go in. Can't wait!

I also run his converter and really like it. Dave is helping me with my 4.1 stroker project right now. I can't say enough about a vendor who spend as much time as Dave does to help you out. I'm buying all my parts from him on my build and I know he will answer the phone if I have a tech question during assembly. This is my first turbo build so I need a lot of help as I learn.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the same one I have. I think I need to play with the tune a bit more but I'll take the trade off of a little less spool for the power itnputs to the wheels. No need to lock it at wot that's for sure.

Yeah he's got decent prices on parts too. Definitely worth checking into. Even if you gotta wait a bit sometimes its worth saving some money.

Yes, sounds like the same converter. 3000 LU. Hopefully I can get mine in this weekend!

I picked up 7 tenths and 10 mph with his converter over the Pats converter I had. The PL says it couples and I can definitely tell a difference! The old converter may have been on the way out but the new converter just works.

Dave's price on the stroker kit is better than any price I could find on the net when I was doing a little research on the stroker idea. I have a great machinist thank God but he does mostly sprint car stuff so it's nice that Dave is going to give him some advice on the ins and outs of the TB which makes me feel a lot better.

Can't wait to take mine to the track someday. Put the whooping on a late 00 gt500 last week. Pulled real hard at high rpm and I was only at 3/4 throttle.

was there at Husek 's place till 1030pm last making adjustments.... always has time to talk Buicks

I'm going to start shopping through this guy too. Thanks for the comments and info guys.

Dave has my transmission now and will be supplying the convertor. Standard build with a 26-2800 stall. My build will be mild, so I did not want to go to high on the stall. He will also get my stock heads freshened up. I'm also looking at a mild roller, have TE-44 that I picked up from Dave also. Good guy. Will report results when I get it all back together.

Hey guys quick question. I'm in Staten Island NY and I heard a lot of good things about Dave. Just out of curiosity how much did it run you for a rebuild from him? Just trying to get an idea. I'm going to give him a call but I just like to know how much I'm going to spend.
Thanks

His prices are reasonable. He will build whatever you want but he isn't the type to make you spend more than needed. I have his trans and I love it. Got his converter too. Spool is a little on the slow side but the power it puts down and drivability in town make up for it. 21mpg with his lock up at 75mph I can't complain one bit.

THe closest track is a hour and a half from me so I have yet to even have a pass on it yet.
