I didn't know the 79 Lemans came with round headlamps

That is a 1972 i have had about 50 70-72 pontiacs like that when i used to be able to find them

It was called the t41 option and in 1972 it was a $41 option. You could also get the endura nose in 1971 as well but i believe it was about $129 if i remember right. I stripped the twin to that endura nose 72 station wagon it is a pretty rare car .

When you checked off the T-41 option did it also come standard with the dual scooped hood?

Also was the T-41 standard on the GTO in '71-'72? I've seen a lot of older GTO's with it, not so many Le Mans's.

This was the gto nose on those years!! 71 gto fenders dont have air extractors 71 lemans sports have some bolt on fake louvers 72 gto and t41 cars both have air extractors. 71 gto grilles sit kinda flush and are wire mesh. 71 t41 lemans grilles sit flush but have a egg crate pattern. 72 grilles gto and t41 cars both sit back about 6" and are egg crate but i believe were painted diffrent colors. Hood release system is also diffrent than regular lemans. Front valances and parking lights are also diffrent than regular lemans.there are a bunch of diffrences in all the 70-72 cars
