I won this cam on Ebay a week ago, how'd I do??:D Got it today and it is very nice, getting pumped about building this motor over the winter.

Seems like a pretty good deal and very nice cam.
 
Errr... PTE roller cam... Getting a bad feeling here... Hope for your sake it's the "new" style, not the old!
 
From the pic and at the none timing gear end of the cam, it looks cast. If that fuel pump eccentric, is part of the cam, and not bolted on, I'd be really worried that it's an econo roller.

I may be wrong, but, it's hard to tell from the photos exactly what it is.

I have a few cam cards floating around here, it's the stamping on the end of the cam that matters.

What all is it that you have to look for do determine if it's the ductile roller or not?
I had Comp Cams and Dan at PTE run the serial number for the specs and both said that it is the new ductile roller.
 
PTE never made a ductile roller to my knowledge.Same thing I thought when I saw the pic,budget roller just because its cast(never even seen one in person).The only ductile roller cam made is not sold thru PTE,just Comp.All the others just sell billet rollers.
 
PTE does sell the "austempered" cams along with the billets.

This is a Ductile Core. I also asked & it is not a Budget or Econo style cam.
You should be fine.
