FINALLY my baby is back home from being at 2 different body shops!! the first one screwed it up but the second one did a better job than I was expecting. this thing is just fantastic. everyone that has seen it says I'm crazy to race it, & it should only be shown. but this is why I built the car, to drive & race. these pics do not do the car the justice it deserves. some of the little changes are C5 corvette style door handles, front & rear glass has been pulled out flush with the body & rubber gasket has been installed, the drip edge has been shaved, and all of the body seams at the back were welded closed & smoothed. every bit of color that is on the car was wet sanded & buffed, even the cage. I still can not believe that I own a car this beautiful.

More power to you. I hate it when people get pushy and say that you're "abusing" your car. I hear it even in a plain ol' GN so I'm sure you run into tons of people telling you to keep it as a show car. Enjoy it whichever way makes you happy.

Firebird?

Again That is one beautiful Bird. Your Firebird took me back 3.5 decades, A friend of mine back in High School(71) had a 69 purple Firebird with a 400 ram4 heads/ Hooker headers/Holley 750dblp/4speed Muncie/Purple Hornies/8track. Remember cruisin listening to Deep Purple's Highway Star.. She's got big fat tires and everything, I love her I need her I'm a Highway Star, or somthing like that Too much Space Truckin/trippin back in the day, 67-69 Birds were awesome. On weekends we'd take her out to South Eubank and race. Guess we all had a place away from traffic and unfortunately not always away from the Police that we could hang out and race. Of coarse when the lookouts said Police we scattered like cockaroaches when the lights are turned on. The car razy thing was there was only one way in for the most part so why run.

Anyway back to my questions didn't the 67's have a hood tach as well or was it one of those options like the GTO that didn't come out till 69? As I mentioned my friend's Bird was a crazy lookin purple, your car is not purple what is it like a Wild Plum? It's a unique color very cool like my friends did over 30 years ago it Stands Out!

As I mentioned my friend's Bird was a crazy looking purple, your car is not purple what is it like a Wild Plum? It's a unique color very cool like my friends did over 30 years ago it Stands Out!

I believe the hood tach was an option for all years even the 69, I don't think it was standard even on the 69.

the color is 2007 mitsubishi eclipse "ultra red pearl"
