About what mine sounded like.....

I don't know why mine did it. I had just made a third gear pull to about 120 and everything was straight. Got on another road coming to work and stuck it then pow. Gonna take a look at it sometime today.

i wonder how many threads have this title? So, I decide to pull the plugs and knock the gap down to .028 from .032. I felt something at the track last week, and it dawned on me that the spark might be blowing out. So I take the car out when I'm done. The first time I get into, I get a backfire and pop. Do it again laying into harder, same thing happens and the up pipe blows off!!! Pull over and fix that, give everything a visual. Take it back out, try again, same shit. I end up putting a small hole in the up pipe to tb hose in the process!!! Time to waste more of my life that I'll never get back chasing yet another problem. I am just about done with this piece of shit!!
Tell us how you really feel. Sounds like it may need some impact therapy.

Autolite Iridium....no problems with them...like I said, just a SMALL hint of a spit at the end of the track with the wider gap....stuck 104's back in for now set at .028....have to get back to track now.....
correction..they were NGK TR5IX iridium....i have gn1 heads, need long reach plugs, ur5's are for stock heads, used them for years, never a problem.

I run Autolite 3922 plugs in my GN1 aluminum heads.

looks like they're gasketed plugs... there are tapered seats in the gn1's....

That's what came in the heads when the engine shipped from DLS. You can use either style plug. They seal up just fine.
