I took a pair of heads off my 231 that has a set of ARP studs and need the tork value to put them.

They are part number 123-4201

I just installed studs over the weekend. Sealant on the threads going into the block, hand tight only. Use Permatex #2 or Aviation sealer (non hardening) to keep coolant from making its way past the threads. Make sure you clean the threads well for the sealant to do its job. I sprayed brake clean on all threads in the block, and used lacquer thinner to clean the studs. Be sure to use the ARP Ultra Torque on the threads, nuts and washers for an accurate torque on the head bolts.... 80 ft lbs.

Torque depends on what you use for lube on the nuts. I don't recall the exact numbers but it's a pretty good spread between oil and moly lube.

If you go with moly, wipe off as much as you can after torquing. The oil filter can catch the moly molecules and it'll clog if you go berserk with it.
