I have another one just like it, but the mouse built into the keyboard only goes left and right and I don't have a CD ROM for it. If you plug in an external mouse it works fine. I was planning on getting a CD ROM and fixing / replacing the mouse before selling it, but if you want you can have it for $80 shipped.

I have about 7 of these in varying degrees of assembly in inventory. I will dig them out, power them up and see how many I can put together if more people want them....

I would like a cd rom drive if it's cheap and maybe the little mouse thingy if it is seperate from the rest of the laptop and easily changed.

thanks.

OK - I have put together about 6 so far that work OK. I am out of CDROMs however. They all have a floppy, and a charger however. The first 3 or 4 sold will come with a spare unit for parts (some have bad screens, or keyboards, or a cracked case.)

For the starter of the thread - I want to be sure he has sold his laptops first before I sell any of mine (since I intruded on his thread)

Furthermore, BuickMike, PM me your address and I will send you a mouse button to swap in to your broken one. For free - since I crashed your thread.

To replace it, you remove all the screws out of the bottom, the silver one under the battery, and the whole keyboard and top comes off. The, there are two screws holding on the mouse button, and one for the lever that lowers the button when you close the lid.

As soon as I have ones up and running, I will post here with details. I have plenty, so nobody has to panick. I am also digging through about 7 Fujitsus as well to try and make good ones. I had no idea anybody wanted these anymore - we were going to throw it all out!!!!

Todd,

These older laptops are great to just leave around in the car or garage for Turbolink or Directscan boxes. I'll PM you my addy.

OK, since Mike's are sold I will put mine out there.

I have 2 7400s ready to go. All 7400s have a USB port for an external CDROM or floppy. Each comes only with what is listed.

1 is a PII 333, 6.4GB HDD, 128 MB Ram running WIndows XP. Good shape, has CDROM and a charger. $125 paypal shipped in the 48 US.

1 is a PII 333, 6.4GB HDD, 64Mb RAM running Windows 98. Good shape, has floppy and charger. $115 paypal shipped in the 48 US.

I also have a Fujitsu S-4510 available. Nice small units with bright screens. Has a PIII 400Mhz, 128Mb RAM and a 9GB HDD. Preloaded with WIndows XP. Missing the internal CDROM. Has a port replicator (and a spare one to go with it) that has LAN, KB, Mouse, ext Monitor, parallel, serial, floppy, USB ports. Nice little units. $200 paypal shipped in the US 48.

I have 2 Fujitsu E342s for sale. All have floppy, cdrom, charger. I have betteries, but they are no good. They are Celeron 300s, 64Mb RAM, running WIndows 98 with Office XP. Screens have a little red hue to them - but work fine otherwise. Can include a spare parts unit with each one.
$100 shipped anywhere in the US 48.

Email me before paying - first email with a paypal followup gets em...

I am slowly going through the stuff - see pics.

I should have more running tomorrow or next week.

PS - I am short about 5 7400 HDD carriers. If anyone has any, I could trade for some parts potentially....

Todd,
I am the one who bought the second one (the one with your mouse) from buickmike and I was wondering if you had a modem for it and what it would cost me (I don't have paypal). Thanks.

Bob,

You don't have to get a modem specific to that laptop. You should be able to find a PC Card Modem / Network card combo cheap.

As stated, you can use a PCMCIA modem. However, I do have the one that goes internally in those laptops. All mine came with the modems, I am surprised his didnt have one. I thought they all did....

Please note that to install the internal one, you will have to pull apart the cover and keyboard to install the modem.

A PCMCIA one will be MUCH easier for you. Plus, these are all 33.6 modems - you can buy a 56K for pretty cheap nowadays...

Let me know.

That goes to show you just what I know about computers. Almost nothing!!!

I will dig around for a PCMCIA modem and see what happens. My other 7400 has an internal 56K. The new one has the hole but it is just extra ventilation now I guess. Thanks for the help.

My 7400's were ordered without a modem because they used PC cards instead. I have several 3com combo cards laying around, but they're all missing the dongles.
