I Missed It!

Haven't had the T out in a couple of months so I took it to work today.

On the way home I get stopped by a guy who wants my phone number because his buddy sold his all original, extremely low mileage "ultra rare twin turbo" GN for $28K and wants another Turbo Regal. He saw my very clean White Limited and thinks his buddy would be interested.

All I could say to him was, "man, I would have loved to see that twin turbo set up. I've heard about them but have never seen one."

That rumor will never die.

At least he knew mine was a Turbo Regal!

I would have told him, my regal is one of but a few with a single turbo from the factory thus making it more rare than the standard twin turbo regals that you see and hear about everywhere.

Being the skeptical person I am about stuff like that, maybe he wanted your phone number so he can come by some late night, and then his "friend" would have another nice "T", really cheap!

I am that same skeptical person so I always bring the car to them and give them my cell phone number only.

I take them for a ride, they never get to drive it until they place the money in my hand. Then thay can take it for a ride. If they don't like it I give them their money back. That's the only way I sell any collectable car. It may not be popular but I don't sell my cars because I have to.

Man I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally wanted to see that twin turbo GN.

The "no joy rides/test drives unless the full dollar amount is in my hand" is a good precaution for you to do biz....keeps the riff raff away.
