I just converted my transmission back to a lock-up stock converter. It had a 10" non-lock-up. At the same time I added an art carr shift kit. The only part that I did'nt have to put back on was the check ball that goes in the shaft. The car shifts good under part throttle, but when you floor it, it slips real bad before it shifts into second. Almost like you hit neutral in between shifts. What could be wrong??? It's a rebuilt stock converter. Please help!!

It is not converter. Sounds more like lack of fluid and/or pressure.
Ck pressure readings and I bet that will tell you where to look.
