Looks good, Maybe one day I will finally get to paint mine lol. Bad part of running your own paint shop, everyone elses comes before your own then. Daniel Ray

What type of primer, paint and clear did they use on your car. Primer sealers very important when doing a nice black job.

Seeing your pics made me go take a close look at mine today. It's no where near as nice but I'm actually pretty happy with it considering it's the original paint. There are some light runs in the lower "chip guard" paint but nothing too bad. I think about treating the car to a repaint when it's paid off in a few years but, honestly, it's rust free and really doesn't need it.

I'll see if I have the same opinion after it's parked next to a well done repaint at a show and I see mine in direct comparison. ;)

It's gonna look really good when you get it all back together. ;) Nice Job!
Now, if I could only get 65% of the HP you are making, I'd be reeeeeal happy. :D

I hate you.
Yeah, I was thinking the EXACT same thing when I saw your turbo and the HP you are putting down!
You suck bro! ;)

Good Question.
I'll find out.

IMHO, OEM paint "carries more weight" when appraising.
Afterall, when you have a slow car like mine ;) , you need to make sure it looks good.

Thanks for all the compliments guys and gals.
It won't be a bad DD.
I have not yet seen the final bill but I am thinking $6.5K plus.

LOL! I gotcha. Paint is the next thing on my adgenda, and your's lloks great. I'd love to see it in person.

I wanted to get mine mechanically where I wanted it before I got into the aesthetics. Can't stand to be doing a bunch of motor work over fresh paint. Mine looks good from 15 feet, but get up close on it and you start seeing the chips and dings, etc. I'm dying for some fresh paint......and I can't really afford to do it right now. Sorry to take my anger out on ya. ;)

They used a German made primer (U-Pol) and Dupont paint.
The painter told me that the primer is the best there is.
Expensive and seals very well.

All that is left to do are the badges.
I may leave the badges on the hood off. Easier to wax that way.
The new GM seals and new SS G-Body T-Top parts fit like a glove.
A few more pics. Enjoy.

Looks great!! Looks like they really spent some time finishing those doors, not one ding or refraction of light as I went through the pics.
Not to be a downer but I did catch something.
The only thing I can spot was your driver side fender alignment is off. Tell them to remove a shim and drop it a bit so it lines up with the door lines like it is suppose to.

You are correct. I saw that on the pics as well and went back to confirm it. Well, it is ligned up and it must be some weird reflection from the cloud in the paint. Thanks for pointing that out.

Wow! It's like glass:eek:
Yeah, so far I am pretty happy ........... Untill I see the bill of course. LOL! Thanks for the compliment.

why did it take you so long to put it back together??? I'm obsessive compulsive and i had mine completely finished in a day and a half:eek: ....
looks great i love the Gn's.......

Looks like it turned out good, price is all about location. I do the same job for between 4-5 grand down here. Lot smaller place so you have to lower prices to keep busy. Hope you enjoy it! Daniel Ray
