The car has a large stock location intercooler. Its a tight fit.....close to the oil filter. The filter on the car looks really small. Thinking they needed to find the shortest filter. Its a Mile guard MO3387. Cant find it locate on the mile guard site. I enter in the year make model and it comes up with zip. Entered the model number and still did not come up with anything.

Also have an external trans oil cooler with an external filter. All it has on the oil filter is Perma Cool. Need to do an oil change soon.

Perma cool is a brand name for remote oil filter adapters. (they're also known for not flowing all that well too). You're going to need to find a part number on the housing to find out the threads or get a set of calipers and a pitch gauge to measure the threads and go from there.

On a stock location oil filter, the shortest one you can get is what the parts book calls for. Expect to lose a couple PSIs at idle with that one. Do you have an oil pressure gauge, or at least a fresh oil pump?
