id trans please 3 years old

top of case by vent is 421 and g under it

tag is pink and has 017-2185b01469 the letters are rubbed off though

the front by the torque converter has 4f-11451219

i had this trans for 3 years now and finally might have it rebuilt if it is a "brf" trans????

i looked at this THM 200-4R Information but nothin about the numbers on the case

With out the code on the pink tag it's going to be impossible to trace it down. I'm guessing the 4F might stand for Buick=4 1985=F.

Look on the pan rail and see if a VIN is stamped there by chance.

What numbers are left on the pink tag are a Julian date code. I'll figure that out when I get a minute.

Kinda sounds like a 84 BQ, not BO.

Pop the pan, and look at the letters painted on the side of the v-b. It should also have a pink stripe if it is a BQ.

ya i found that it is a 85 buick trans 85BQ. now tommarow i will take off the pan and see if there is a pink stripe. is there any numbers or codes telling me what is what? i tried to find a list of codes but the ones ive found say except grand national...

alright i took the pan off and i found the pink stripe but it says BQ6 on the side so its not a brf. where can i get a brf valve body?

I would not bother with a BR valve body.. The BQ is also a good valve body.

What's the numbers on the servo?
