While were thinking of a place to meet.
A few things I was pondering. First off. I do think that we have a nice vacume here for a big show(s).
This summer.
--------------
It's mid June as I type this. "If" we decide on a show in the next week or two, with a six to eight week lead time to get the best turn out. That puts us some time in August (ish). This would mean that we would most likely be looking at one more "Big" car show this summer. Not to say that we couldn't have other nice get togethers before and after it.
Next summer.
---------------
If we felt that intrest was strong enough. We could do two or three big shows. One, at the first part of summer (May-ish), the second in June or July. With the last being around August. If we did three shows. One could be in the SD area (Bates, Deer Park, Stone Brewery, Etc). The second show could be in OC or inland. The third could be in the LA area. Each show would be put on by locals in that area who are willing to do it. We would also want to try our best to support each others shows. It might actualy be fun to see which group could put on the most enjoyable get together. If wanted, it shouldn't be too hard to get support from sponsors to do some fun stuff (T-shirts, raffels, etc).
IMO, if money's involved. it would be best to have an open book policy. If more money was brought in, (EG: sponsor dough for T-shirts) it be rolled farward to the next show or used to suport the cause. It should be kept simple. Just post up what came in and what went out. If someone has something to say about it, speak up.
IMHO, To get the best turn out, it would be nice if we could keep the shows free to enter. Not to say that we couldn't sell T-shirts or raffel stuff off, to offset the costs if needed.
As most of you know, I have always been a sucker, to support a Turbo Buick cause. I know that there are many more "suckers"

here that would chip in to see the So Cal Turbo Buick scene remain strong. I think the people to do this are right here. From what I've seen, we've got more than enough dough to do it up nice. We just need a little organization, a few people to step up, and for ALL OF US to get off our lazy arses and support those who make this happen.
Thoughts?
