I just pulled this out of my 87 GN. Not sure what it is but hoping someone can ID it. It has a blue tag on it with numbers 288-891-ctf-0135.
Or if someone has a good source for finding out this info please point me to it.

I'd go over to turbobuick.com and ask Bruce Toelle (sp?), he should be able to tell you exactly what the tranny came from, he looked up mine for me, mine ended up having a weird tag because it was a dealer replacement, or something like that.

Ok now that I sort of know what it is and its lying on the garage floor, replaced with a nice new 2004r, what can I do with it? Is it of any value to some caprice owner out there or is it junk? It ran fine (didnt slip etc) in the GN, but the connector plugs back to the computer didtn fit it so things just didnt work right. Any ideas?
Oh if it is worth something, how much? :)

It should be worth 50 - 100 bucks for a core I`d think, but I live in the sticks. :D
