Trunk lid spid label will say we-4. should have turbo T badge on the fender in 87.

There are no external badges on the car what so ever. And what do you mean the trunk spid?

The WE4 was solid black (including bumpers), blackout trim, the 15x7 T wheels, solid grey interior. The dash plate simply read "Buick Regal". The only exterior badges were the square "T" emblems on the lower front fenders, "3.8 SFI Turbo" on the hood and decklid and the "Buick" emblem on the decklid as well. If the car has the rear spoiler it was added either by the selling dealer or the previous owner. The only way to know for sure is if the original RPO label is still on the underside of the decklid.

there is no spoiler. the dash just says buick regal. i have a few pics im gonna upload as soon as i find my cord.

WO2 is the black out kit from the factory option code.

All WE4's will also have this code.

However WO2 could be ordered on most any Regal.

All WE4's will have both the WO2 code and the WE4 code on the trunk RPO code sticker.

All gray interior console, headliner, T wheel badge, regular Regal Buick dash plaque, and NO hood emblem or hole in the header panel for one (unless it's been replaced since most aftermarkets have the hole that must be filled up).

Black bumpers and BUICK emblem on right side of trunk lid, 3.8SFITURBO on the left side of the lid.

As has been previously mentioned. :)

Here is a dealer flyer about the WE4 ...

From GNTType website.....

ok good news, this is a WE4 car. It also has the g80 code which means posi right? Do all the we4s have posi ? How many of the WE4 were made? Whats the value of a we4 compared to a regualr t-type or grand national?

Thanks again for your guys help.

1547 made congrats on landing 1.
Every we-4 I have owned has been a posi. I have owned 15.

There were 1547 WE4 cars. I have one also  .

Value of these cars just depends on the buyer. I have an 18,000 mile white T that I am having a tough time selling. An 18,000 mile GN will easily go in the $20s on eBay.

Do the WE4 cars all have the y56 rpo code i seen a page fromt he dealers book on gnttype and it says not availbe with the WE4 but min has both codes ???

G80 limited slip was a special order option separately priced on the WE4 window sticker.

Whether they all came down the line with it isn't known at this point but I would highly doubt it.

I believe all WE4's would have the Y56 option listed on the RPO code sticker but it wasn't an extra cost option on the window sticker.

I think the way to look at this is:

for ordering purposes the Y56 (T pkg.) was one of a number of turbo related options (LC2 etc.) included under the WE4 pkg. Buick/GM lists on the RPO sticker, codes for the sub-group packages as well as the braoder package designation they can be part of (WE4 in this case).

HTH. I think it makes sense ...but now I'm confused. It's late...gotta go.
