If I See One More Subaru Thread

Devil's advocate here guys, but how is a WRX, or STi not a race car? I think a "race car" should do more than just go fast in a straight line. From what I have heard, and again, I know next to nothing about these cars but don't they do spectacularly well in the WRC series and Ice racing?

And as for the imports being junk, you gotta be kidding. The fit and finish and quality of the Subby is top notch. I test drove a new GTP, and although it had some decent snot, it was cheap plastic crap.

Have you been living in a box the last 10 years? They only made the syclone and typhoon back in 91, 92, and 93. (91 Syclone only, I'll save you anal types from posting that correction

I bought the subie because it was the best bang for the buck in a new car since I had to lease. I would have gone with a Regal GS, except Buick in their infinite wisdom jacked the price to outrageous numbers. Used to be a great car at 25K, its nuts at 33K.
Sure, a GN or Typhoon would be nice. Of course, with the typhoon, I had better carry a spare front driveshaft for when it comes spitting out the front of the truck while leaving a light.
I needed a good daily driver, economical, that the business could lease, and that wasn't a Chrysler. There IS nothing else out there that competes.
If you don't like it, fine. That's probably why you don't own one. Quit whining and leave the lounge if it bothers you so much. Go back to posting on such Buick related threads as "My girlfriend broke up with me", "Gay marriage", and others.....

I have no problem with you posting about your girlfriend that you knew for like 12 hours or whatever it was. My point was these ladies are whining that its not Buick related, I was merely pointing out some of the other threads that are clearly not Buick related either.
I have been on this board for over 6 years now, and I am so ashamed that it has become a group of whining, complaining, no-input babies, and the management of such board has done things to lose the respect of the members that haven't bailed out.... yet.
And you know, I seem to have been able to be on this board daily for 6 years now, without having to be a troll, or start flame wars with people to feed my childish ego.

i was at this traffic light today on my way home fromwork in my phat wrx - youknow, minding my own bizness, listening to some techno, when i heard a rev and looked over and saw a GNX! i was like, whoa, did i just hit a time warpand go back to the 80's? as i searched the radio stations for whitesnake, i saw the light change. the guy in the gnx got the jump, but i spooled upquick and put like 3 carlenghts on his POS. at the next light he was all like, damn you gota v8 in there? i was like, nah man just some 4 cyl tur-bro. peac eout my nizzles. he was like, wow i gotta tell my buddy frank about that lil thing cuz i heard he wanted to buy one.

Well I tried to take your suggestion but I went to a bunch of dealers in the past few days and none of the guys had any new ones in stock. Some of them did not even know what I was talking about. Imagine that. Most of them just looked at me funny, (this happens alot anyway)
