Any good options out there for ignition modules? I currently have the BW unit and went through 2 of them in less than 500 miles.

Also, lets talk about the coil/2 step from Bob.
I need something I dont have to ever worry about again.

The TR6 is an awesome unit. I have one with the waste-spark V6 truck coil. I don't use the 2 step but I make use of the rev limter, and also used the spark timing verification feature (tells you if your balancer timing is offset) and the cam sensor phasing feature which allows you to precisely tune your cam sensor timing through the tachometer display on the dash cluster.

I use the Duralast brand ignition module part number DR143 from Autozone and have for quite a few years without any problems.I have read on here of people having problems with them though so i guess it's the luck of the draw. One thing about autozone atleast from my experience they stand behind their warranty of the parts they sell and will replace or refund your money if you are not happy with the performance of the parts.

One thing to keep in mind is that if your are or plan to go to XFI, you HAVE TO HAVE a factory AC Delco module. Highway Stars sell them. Highly recommend the if you go factory. The tR6 is a good piece of tech, except that you get some strange trouble codes that can't be explained. These codes come and everything checks out ok. Bob is suppose to be working on a firmware fix for me.

lots of guys running the TR6 with xfi, without trouble codes.

Clinton has something up with his car.

There are no compatibility issues with the TR6 and any ECU/ECM.

TR6 here and loving it. Went through numerous modules before getting it. I did just burn up a Silverado coil on one tower but it was another $60 for a new coil and Bob's your uncle...

I wish I had the extra money right now...
