Even though my h/a isn't running perfectly right yet I'm still satisfied with the way it runs the only thing that I like about the IC cars is the way it looks with the turbo shield and the IC pipes

I still need to swap out my injector harness, but I took the car on a short drive didn't really want to get on it too hard so I dropped it in 1st and hit it, nearly threw my brother in law into the back seat. It's hard to believe a 1980s v6 runs like this left me literally shaking after I needed a smoke

I have an issue with my#2 injector so I haven't made it to the track yet but I will soon I have to change out my injector harness, the wire for #2 got pinched and while I have the turbo off I might as well have my injectors cleaned and tested or maybe even upgrade them while I have it all apart

Have you driven it with your mods at all before paint? If so, how did it perform? Any track times?

Unfortuneately no, the car had numerous problems. After painting it i just found my engine ground wires on the front of the block and i cleaned them up and fixed the connection that may have been causing my low voltage issue.

My car also had a bad wastegate, so it was knocking bad if i punched it.

In like 2wks it should be done

Thanks, yeah i think my throttle cable is stretched too because if i floor the pedal the throttle body isnt completely open, its almost all the way but if i use my hand it will open further.

Actually i do need to get a chip as well, no TT chip yet. I plan to go E85 and 80 lb injectors.

I have a downpipe as well for one day when everything is squared away

Try a zip tie on the cable to take up some slack.

Nice to hear it's up n running ..... Who did u get ur Walbro FP from?

I bought a new one from gbody it took a crap on me so I bought a used one from someone here and it's been good since. Just didn't wanna buy a new one again and I might have had other issues

Take your time and get it right... I have had my T Type since 1993 and I am IN LOVE with it now as much as when I first got her... I got more PARTS than I care to talk about :-). I am going to intercool it soon. I just got to get off my azz and do it. BTW, just remember, even if you intercool the car the car is still a low timing car (18-20 degrees). Hot Air intercooled is fun, but she still can be a Motherf#cker. Hot Airs are very touchy with HEAT, the more heat you can remove, the better. Like I have said before, use the SEARCH and print and place in a binder...

Now that I have the turbo off I'm doing everything I can afford, just got done tearing into my heater box to put a new core in. I wish I had the$$$ to reclock my turbo and have the piping made for my spearco set up. First I'm gonna put the new injector harness in and hopefully that's stops the pinging that I get at high rpm due to the #2 injector not working. As for you are you converting to a 86/87 set up or are you just intercooling the HA??

I am intercooling the 85 engine with a 86 intake and modded bonnet. I have a SPEARCO intercooler and a TURBOMOTION intercooler. I am slowly gathering my plan of action. I plan on using 55lbs injectors with a TA61 turbo. Like I said before, I have been planning this for years. I got a 4.1 on the engine stand... I SEARCH the archives all the time...

So what is it that makes even an intercooled hot air need low timing?

The intake? But since youre changing yours, would you then be able to run higher?
