I am giddy like a schoolgirl. Got a complete exhaust system on the way to me now.

Bought a hooker 2.5 dual exhaust system. A brand new unused ceramic coated Kenne Bell set of Headers, down pipe, up pipe, crossover.

The reason for this post is to find out everything I will need to get these parts installed. Looking for suggestions for header gaskets, whatever gasket goes from the turbo to the DP and anything I haven't mentioned. I will get the exhaust welded in, but I am gonna handle the headers up and down pipe and crossover.

I have never taken apart the exhaust sytem on this car. Anything I need to watch out for? Gasket sources and part #s?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I am sure this will be what this car needs to wake up. Evidently the person I got the car from replaced the exhaust with a single 2" pipe from the test pipe to the stock muffler???

Hooker headers

Sorry but I think the Hooker Headers are probably for an intercooled car and will not work on your set up. Although Hooker did make them in limited numbers, I have never seen a used set of Hooker headers for a hot air. If you have a set then they are really rare.

his headers are kenne bell, not hooker? or are kenne bell headers hooker? Got pics joesnuffy?

John

kenne bell huh? I guess I got the name wrong for mine then!!!! When I bought them on ebay, they were listed as duttweiler! I gotta change my thread now!!!

Maybe someone gets to steal them at the price I listed, since yours were 700 with coating!!!

lol

Thanks and good luck...those defiantely are hot air headers, they will be a HUGE performance increase, and most of all, you can get basically any hardware from any parts store!!!

Kenne Bell Headers ?

My bad !!! Sorry to burst your bubble but those are Duttweiler headers and racemybuick is selling the same set of headers for 225.00 . But still a great improvement for a hot air.

there are a few pics of kb headers, up & dp pipe in my pics page

like said above the pipes installed on my car are hotair kenne bells. The dp is a slip joint. I hate the downpipe / uppipe cleareance issues with my set. There is like a 1/4" of space between the up and the dp. Sux when you have to take the downpipe off for something.

Anyways if you have any questions just ask.
