I scanned some receipts for an expense report a few months ago. Scanned them and saved them as a pdf cause this is the file format my company needs for expense reports. When I first looked at them they were fine. Now I am ready to file my report and the pdf files are unreadable. Cant make out anything. Anyone have an idea? Cant find the original receipts to rescan. These receipts are over a grand. Hope I can recover the file.

Not quite clear that the PDF files are unreadable in a printed form or on your monitor. What program are you using to open the files? Try downloading the latest version of PDF Reader from Adobe. Did you try to open different PDF files on your machine to verify that your PDF reader is working? Also, try opening your PDF files on another machine or tablet, if possible. PDF files won't degenerate on their own - usually a software problem.

Not to add misery to agony -but a "few months ago" - always gets my controller's attention. (I hate special any attention paid to my expense reports!)
And my VP.
And the President. (Not BHO)
Although, I might feel you - we are coming up on end of 3Q.

Investigate upping the scan resolution, it should be at least 300 dpi. I've bought diagrams/manuals off E-Bay that were so poor I had to ask for a higher quality scan before giving feedback.

Oops! I see this is after the fact, good luck on it and keep the above in mind for the future...

Carlsbad. Thanks. That worked. I downloaded Adobe reader 11 and the receipts look great. I never had a true Adobe reader on my laptop only my PC with the scanner. Always used the default viewer or I had a trial version of PSE that expired. Appreciate everyone's input. I always come to TB.com first. Better than any other website. More like extended family than a website.
