I have a no start condition. With a DMM the injector hardness does have 12V at each connector. Now with an injector LED tool, should the LED flash when I crank the engine?

At the injector harness I don't have any flashing but I do have 12V. Module plug at ECM?

2 pink & black stripe wires. Test them to ground. Pretty much anywhere on the engine is good ground. Red lead on pink and black wire and black lead to ground. Should have 12v

the ECM will not pulse the injectors if the ignition module has not sync'd, so check if you are getting spark.

bad ignition module, bad crank sensor, bad cam sensor will all cause no injector pulses. (oh, and a bad ECM will also..)

Bob,

Yes I'm getting spark. So I have a bad crank, cam or ECM?

On the cam and crank connector what voltage should be at each terminal (A, B and C)?

if you are getting spark, then the cam and crank signals are working.

so, from there you have the ignition module, the ignition module crankref signal to the ECM, and the ECM itself.

Bob,

A little background...I was at the track car seemed to run a little lean (not sure why), popped thru the traps (no smoke), engine died could not get it started again.

This is what I've done so far:

- engine compression is good
- fuel pump turns on
- fuel psi at rail
- all grounds seems fine
- coil and module checked good via Casper's CCCI ignition simulator
- Getting spark when cranking engine over via method in below pic
- 12V at all injector plugs
- NOID LITE is working (tested)
- NOID LITE NO illumination when cranking engine over

Not sure how the ignition module could still be bad? Please explain. Also how do I test the crank ref single to the ECM?

the caspers tester does not test any of the signals that come out of the ignition module, so we are not 100% sure the module is ok at this point.

I would swap the ignition with a known good one as a test, same with the ECM, lastly, there may be issues with the wiring or connectors going between them.

Crank the motor a couple times and make sure the cam sensor wheel spins.

You are getting warm. ;)

Is this a newer engine?

Define newer. Its a 7 year old engine that was freshened. Put back in car May 2013...~1200 miles on it. Why?

if the cam sensor is out of time, then he will get spark (on the wrong cylinders) and fuel.

since he's not getting fuel, I would look at the ignition module, module to ECM wiring, and ECM (in that order)

Just asking. I remember you upgrading something.
I have a spare ECM if you need to borrow it.
