Can anyone help me identify this injector? The #'s on one side read:5235302. The other side reads:2D and 752. It also has a red ring at the bottom just above the intake o-ring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just did some more research, found that these are 21.6lb/hr 5.7L vette injectors. will they work on a Hot-Air TR???

21.6lb/hr is not enough. I believe the stockers are rated at like 27lb/hr and those are almost not enough if you throw a few mods at the car. The best one to go with for a slightly modded car are 32's. HTH

so, what size inj. would be best? still a hot-air running rebuilt stock turbo, walbro pump, comp roller cam/lifters, mild head porting. car is frame off resto intended for mostly show with hopefully a fair amount of go;) . no track days. i would like to make a few eyebrows raise with it though.

If you plan on keeping the stock turbo, stock CLEAN injectors will be plenty since they can be pushed to 108mph traps.

If you're going to upgrade, the 60lb injectors are great. There's no reason to go smaller since they idle great, good street manners, and are the same price as smaller injectors. Have a chip burned for your combo and if you decide to really modify the car one day all you will have to change is the chip programming. The 60s will take you into the 10s. On my car, idle is very smooth even at 800rpm and with a 212-212 cam.

so, I went to turbotweak.com and on the drop down menu for the chip, there are options for the stock 84-85 ECM and also for running the 86-87 ECM> What are the advantages to running the 86-87 ECM? I have one of each, I think.

If you dont want to bother in changing over to the 86/87 ECM just email Eric at turbotweak and tell him what all you have on your car and he can burn a chip just for you.

If you have both, run the 87 ECM. You will have more data available on your scan tool, the option to control electric fans, more availability of off the shelf chips. If running the 87 ecm, use a chip burned for an 87 and the 87 maf. An 84 MAF with 87 ECM will make it run rich.

is the MAF the only change from the stock set up that is needed? also, is there an easy way to identify an 87 ECM? the ones I have came loose in a package deal. I am not positive they came out of a TR.

Just recently converted my '84 to the '87 ECM --like cool 84 says "more data available on your scann tool", and if you put plugs on the scan tool it can be easily removed for shows...just my .02

They don't have to come out of a TR. The one I've been using for years came out of an Olds 88 with Buick 3.8 and sequential injection.

When you have a chip burned you will have to tell your chip burner that you're not using the IAT sensor so you don't get a check engine light. Either that or you can actually run the wiring to use the IAT sensor.

Chip, MAF, and IAT sensor are the differences.
