these dam cars are addicting, ive got another one to work on.

i was under the assumption the injectors dont pulse till the cam and crank sensor synce.this one runs real rich.check fuel pressure.it goes up to 42 or so key on,pump stops and then it bleeds off.took rail off and the injectors just dump gas with key on.any ideas where to start?it does run.

does it have a turbo tweek chip? because i know to mess with the settings you have to have the key on and do the pedal dance. maybe if its an older chip it doesnt have this setting

this is the chip, dont know what kind it is
it has a green dot on one side and says..street 009 42# 93

so we took the plugs off of the injectors, pressurized it and 5 of six are spraying.......so that 5 of 6 injectors stuck!

"ive got another one to work on."

So, does that mean it was dragged into your shop, and hasn't been driven for yrs, or??

every time key one it pulses the injectors , dose not wait for a crank signal, good way to flood one key on engine off a couple of times .Butt should hold fuel pressure and not leak through .You do have a injector problem , but remember every time you turn the key on it gets a short injector pulse signal

We were just fighting a similar problem with a GN today which we thought was leaking injectors?

In this case the nos. 1 & 3 injectors would "leak" fuel and did not have the module/coil pack installed, and of course the key was off as well.

With pressure in the fuel rails and no spark plugs installed, gas would spray big time out of these cylinders.

The issue was the injector harness had some bare wires. A different FI harness cured the problem.

we took the wires/plugs off of the injectors, all six.then turned the key on to pressurize the rail and they squirted like they were powered.

John Spina at Caspers Electronics can test and clean the injectors. Injectors can almost always be brought back to life.
