You asked for an opinion, so here is mine. For the few dozen or so GN's I have set up for the street and occasional strip down to the 12.0 range, no one has ever been disappointed with 36# injectors. Great street manners, good drivability, wonderful response and lots of chips that will work fine with them. Stock or upgrade LU converters are compatible.
The case of "building for the future" many times ruins the present. Proper combination is very important for our cars. Why over build for now, when you may never go further? And if you do, the parts are very sale-able, so upgrades are not really expensive. Actually, a properly set up combination will run high 11's with 36#er's. I have seen lots of "overbuilt" turbo cars having a hard time breaking into the 11's since the combination is not proper and LOTS more $$$$ was spent.
As far a 50's, personally had more trouble getting those through our emissions test than all others combined. All the good things I said about the 36#'s above do not apply to the 50's I have had experience with tuning.
Think you need to first decide where you want to go with your car's performance over the next few years and put together a plan for that.
