$300 of Fuel lines from Inline tube ... and the tube ends for Oring seals are designed or manufactured wrong, compared to original GM. See my thread & pictures in the General Tech forum :
http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203623&referrerid=3144

Now Inline Tube is saying they won't exchange or accept a return on the improperly fabricated lines.

My email correspondence:

Steve,

I was extremely disappointed that Inline Tube will not exchange, or allow a return, on the defective gasoline lines I received.

Inline's web site and print advertisements promise "... guarantee 100% accuracy, safety and fit ".

This is plainly not the case.

My comparison photos clearly show that the Inline Tube gasoline lines are not equal to original General Motors design , have design and/or manufacturing flaws, and will create potential maintainability, leak, and safety hazards.

I will be submitting a request for reversal of charges to my credit card company.

Subject: Fuel Lines, InlineTube vs GM. Invoice 84971.
hello Steve,
See attached file & pics. May need Acrobat Reader version-7 to open file.
On InlineTube's stainless fuel lines, those tube ends having Oring seals are having problems. The Oring either slides off, or is only very loosely retained and is easily dislodged. (potential hazard when doing routine fuel filter changes or maintenance).
Note Inline's tube end tapers smaller beyond the bead. The original GM tube tapers slightly larger, securely holding Oring in place.
The portions of the fuel tubing that are intended to use slip-on hose & clamp, seem OK.
In summary,
a) 3/8 Supply line: 2 of 3 pieces have oring problem.
b) 1/4 Return line: 1 of 2 pieces have oring problem.
c) 5/16 vent line: 2 pieces are OK, does not use oring style.

[SIZE=+0]
d) The transmission cooler lines in the shipment seem OK (inverted flares), but I have not yet detail inspected them.
e) Tubes have not been installed, I was inspecting parts on my living room floor.
I believe the affected tubing should be re-fabricated to precisely match original GM specifications for the design of the tube end.

Please do not hesitate to call or email, if any further questions.
regards, Tom Herman
