I'd have to go with Death Row and the west coast over the east coast stuff:eek:

When Dre and Pac where making tunes together it was just unreal:biggrin: Add Snoop, and a little Cube:cool:

CALIFORNIA LOVE:cool:

its upbeat... I listen to it all, east, west, midwest, Bay area hyphy, Texas Screw, Dirty South, D town, Sea Town, everything... The music from the west coast is the best, east coast emcees are tied with texas screw, followed by D-town and midwest, then dirty south...

this one is in just about every one of my play lists

Sppeak Of The devil... I like west coast underground Music... stuff you dont hear on the radio...

California Love...MTV Remix better than original...Dre/Tupac. When was that? 1995? Still one of my favorite songs which is weird because I will always say that no rapper/group can compare to RUN DMC! Love it!!! Back when there was a bit less hate, no "gansta rap" (until NWA and E-Z) and more musical talent. (IMO)

NWA was original! They stepped it up. I don't mean in words so much as the sound. It was something all new...

MC Ren was one of my favorites. I still listen to some of his solo stuff. It is NWS for sure;)

Dre took it from there and if you don't have a Dre beat you don't have a #1 hit IMO...

I don't mind rap soo much. I don't search for it, but most of it does not bother me.
The part that kills me is that fact that it is predominantly sampled. Almost no originality in the music, but tons of originality in the lyrics. (good or bad)

If Tupac was alive today he's be in prison for shooting one or all of the Black Eyed peas.

If it makes you bob your head or slightly happier for it, listen to it. Who cares what others think?

IMO, NOTING can beaththe original track created by the artist, going waay back into the 70s as well. Artists these days are basically piggybacking off of old music from the 70s and 80s, and whats even funnier is that there are songs various artists did in te 80s, that theyre copying from the 60 and 50s... MTV does have a few good remixes. And gansta rap started in the west, we started it all:biggrin:

RIP Tupac. The officer who was suspected of killing Biggie was a Lt. In the famed Rampart Dist. His personal vehicle was a maroon 95 SS, one was seen leaving the scene of the murder, this man was Suge Knights best friend and Death Row records #1 security guard. He was busted for a ton of things during the Rampart scandal, when they went to his home, he had a full wall turned into a mural o Tupac. His walls were also the same blood red as Suge Knights walls in his personal office. Not saying he did it but.... It's all for entertainment, the kid who mimics Lyrics would be dumb enough to mimic a movie or a UFC WWE fight or a professional drifters driving style. An idiot is always gonna do something stupid. For a lot if people these rappers lyrics were a release for them, a way for others to finally see (hear) the struggles going on in the inner city, without them having to act out as someone was doing it for them... Probably more successful blacks Due to rap music.
