If you want stock location, RJC has one. I can tell you from MY experiences. I had Pypes Race Pro 2 1/2 installed and super quiet. Like stock. They are a straight through turbo style muffler. Now I have the Hooker Aero Chamber on and neither drone, or that is noticeable to me. The Hookers have a little rumble at idle, roar when opened. The Pypes are quiet with a little rumble when opened.

I picked up a Hooker system, everything seemed fine from a quality standpoint and it is stock quiet installed. Almost too quiet for me actually.

Ive been listening to some sound clips on you tube but its hard to judge, Im leaning towards the hooker set up the more people I talk to.

Quiet is good I will save the loudness for the old 5 liter. Did it install in the factory location?

The sound clips on the net are hard to distinguish. I like both systems, no preference on which one is better. A note it does not install in the stock location. The Hooker system is a dual 2 1/2 that exits behind the rear wheels. Installation is straight forward because it is designed for our cars. I installed mine min my garage with the car on stands.

I installed the Pypes 2.5",with the race pro mufflers.Everything is stainless, and pretty quiet too.

One thing nobody ever seems to mention when talking about how quiet a system is or how much drone is whether they have a catalytic converter on the car or not? I would think that would be a factor?

Yes that would be a huge factor. Im my diesel truck it made very little difference with the muffler cut off but after we straight piped it in lieu of a converter it made it really loud

No cat on mine, as the pictures posted above show.

The Hooker catback bolted up in the stock location. I still have a cat installed also, albeit a "high flow" replacement.

cat? havent had one in 15 years. thats the first mod i did, cat hack

hello; I have the RJC stock location exhaust and I'm happy with it. I've said this before I had a dual muff. and IMO it sounded better. More of a rubble but it's a V8 want a be. The RJC is where GM put it and I like that on a TB. My dual muff. system didn't fit well as it hung a bit and I always hated that. It was a old BGC.
Now my question is I'm going to a new DP and I'm planing to go with a test pipe. I have a aftermarket cat. now Any one out there running a RJC with a TP? What do you think?
