Should I put a lubricant on the oring when installing the fuel pressure regulator? Also, What pressure should I start off at for a base line. Car only has a few small bolt on mods.

I have the bad habit of using VERY VERY LITTLE power steering fluid on O-rings.
Fuel pressure is usually dictated by your chip. TT usually calls for 43 psi engine running and NO vacuum connected as a starting point then you fine tune from there.
 
yeah some WD40 or 3-1 oil will help so the o-ring will not go in dry. i would start at 43lbs with the vac line OFF,dont forget to reconect the vac line after you set the gauge.
 
I used a little gas on mine when I installed mine and was real easy with it , most modern chips set at 43 lbs with the vacuum hose off .

You guys think I'm kidding. I never jab in an o-ring that's dry....



It works on injector O-rings and small lines too.

I use Parker O-ring lubricant, but I get it from work.:D
 
I use Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease, used it for many application even for injectors, and cam sensor oil ring.

I've used engine oil on all "O" rings for years.....fuel injectors, pressure regulator, and many other rings that need lube to install.....never had a leak yet.

Service info usually says to lubricate seals with whatever they're sealing. Whether it be coolant, brake fluid etc. I agree, just don't put them in dry.
