We have a tranny builder in our buick club and wants to sell me a 350 (says will handle high 9's) for the gn. One ? for you guys is does the crossmember need to be moved to use this tranny. I already have the hr parts tranny mount for a 400. Also he says the splines are the same on a 350 and 200r4 so that would save me on the 400 yoke install . Let me know on the 350 install guys thanks

Jetmech, I used to have a th350 in my TR. The 350 and the 200 are the same length. I used the original drive shaft and yoke, but had to buy a crossmember...350's was different than the 200's. I still have the crossmember to use if you want it (I'll take $40). I'm in souteast Ohio.

where did you get it, was it a junk yard piece or a new piece. thanks. would i be able to use the hrparts mount i bought.

Jetmech, I got the crossmember from a junk yard. All you need from the H&R munt is the poly munt itself....not the bracket.

Hey KevinB. I have a th350 to install into a GN motor swap I am doing and am wondering how you hooked up the kickdown and vacuum modulator?

Thanks,
Joe

Joe, I hooked the vac mod. to a vac source. I think I used a "t" at the line going to the bar sensor. The kickdown cable was hooked up just like the tv cable for the 200. I have the 200 back in my car, and this was a few years ago, so I forget what car the kickdown cable came from. It might have been a early 80's g-body with a th350 and a 3.8.
Kevin
PS...I might still have the cable. I'll look tomarrow.
