Julio,

I'm installing my ALKY Control kit on my TTA and just wanted to see if I routed the lines correctly. I'm sure it probably doesn't matter but just wanted to check before I wrap it up. The tank line would only fit through the hole in the top of the frame and then out through the larger oval hole. The smaller nozzle line easily came up through the bottom of the battery pan near the base of the tank. Do you think the tank line is too sharp of a bend or is this where you run them and ok?

Thanks,
Scott

Feed line is fine, I route the pressure hoe by the core support. It keeps it away from the "+ POS" battery terminal. Some just run it underneath the frame rail.. by the sway bar area.

ok thanks...also should I use any thread sealant on the hose flare fittings...I did on the pipe thread fittings but left the hose flare fittings dry.

Thanks,
Scott

No.. never use anything on Flare fittings.

Pipe fittings YES.. flare fittings NO ;)

The flares dont have tapered thread. You'll notice how I send you the fittings with tape on them.. the tape is on the pipe side, not the flare side.

What do I do with the grey wire ?

Finishing up my inside wiring and don't know what to do with the grey wire coming out of the PAC...there is no mention of it in the instructions ? I have everything else hooked up except the violet wire...not sure which option I will go with yet since I have a Stagerite trans brake.

ALKY tuning & boost question ?

Julio,

going to start tuning w/the Alky this weekend...my question is how should I go about setting boost to tune ? Here is why I ask...the new turbo has a hi-boost actuator which if i recall will not let me go below 19 or 20 in the stock configuration ? I have and plan to install a Q-boost manual boost controller but not sure if i should do it just yet. If i hook up the boost hoses to the stock configuration (boost solenoid and "y" fitting) I assume I can't turn the boost down low enough with the hi-boost actuator to get started. I have been told I can unhook and plug the boost solenoid and just connect the turbo to the waste gate actuator "tuner style" and adjust the rod to the min pull and go up from there...should get me to 16-17#'s ? Or...if I install the Q-boost will I be able to control the boost down to 18#'s or so to get started and then go up from there?

Which do you suggest I do...start with the stock set-up and go from 19-20#'s, "tuner style" and go from 16-17#'s or install the Q-boost form the start and just tune from there ?

Thanks,
Scott
