I am ready to install an oil pressure gauge on my 84 Regal with a 4.1 Carbed
V6. I was wondering if there was a thread already on installing these. I noiticed a pulg above the oil filter but I wasnt sure if that was the right one. Also do I have to drain the oil out?

Thanks Mike.

P.S. The oil gauge is a Sunpro Mechanical Oil PSI gauge. A little nervous about it being mechanical. I dont like the idea of warm oil on my carpet if it leaks. I'll just have to watch it I guess. Came in a package deal with a ater temp and volt gauge.

If it's mechanical it will leak, nature of the beast. On the pass side of the block is where the presure is taken out, above the oil pump. You need a T shaped fitting if you plan to keep the original idiot light.

charlies right they will leak best thing to do is get the copper line auto zone sells for it...
