Installing tv cable

Well I have to take my old tv cable and install it on my new stage 2 trans. Question is all I do.is loosen bolt pull up cable take the small.pin.put and then install on new trans w small pin in tv cable hole? I did that last night and it feels same when.you pull.cable on stock.trans..I.assume all is good?
