Drove the car to work today, no issues, put it under boost a few times. I stopped to top her off and noticed when the car was idling it was idling really high. Looked at my TPS reading and it was a bit high .48, so I decided to take her home and reset the TPS. I set the TPS to .42 @ idle and 4.4 @ WOT. I reset the ECM for $hits and giggles and walla the car starts and warms up to 170 degrees @ 825 RPM's (normal w/218/218 roller cam). All of a sudden the motor idles up to like 2300 RPM and then idles down to maybe 600 -700 RPM shutters, back fires once and dies. So I reset the ECM and go through the procedure again, does the same exact thing except this time I was able to catch the MAL code 42 on the scanmaster.... Anyone ever have an O2 sensor do these type of symptoms and die within a 20 minute period?.... I've had multiple coil packs and Ignition control modules go in almost the same fashion, just not so fast.

Code 42 has nothing to do with the O2 sensor.

Probably connection related to the T+, or ECM, or module wiring.

Mine was intermittant for years, got the code 3-4 times a year on the daily, haven't gotten one in over a year and a half now, I think it fixed itself.
