Intake Gaskets

Just got intake off and camshaft out. Has anyone had success with regular gaskets like a Fel pro 1200 or 1201 instead of the original style metal gasket that covers the lifter valleys? If i use any gasket other than the metal one will I have an issue with my PVC valve pickin up any oil?

you can use the 1200, but cut the center piece out of your metal gasket as a valley cover. You could have some oil issues with the PCV valve like you mentioned without it. I know I am...
