Intercooler gains with Alky?

Thanks Steve. I'll most likely be getting that IC. I definitely need one. Now the decision is Mease 15 row for 585 on Ebay (no core according to the auction) or Thunder Fab 22 row for 670. Mease says 10.5 is possible with the 15 row, so why would I need another 7 rows for 100 bucks more? decisions decisions.

Thread Hijack in progress: Steve, how do you like your RJC controller? have you used it yet?

I have not put on the RJC controller yet. I will probably try it on the TTA first. I have heard good things about it. So I am looking forward to trying it out. Good luck with the IC. You will definitely see an improvement.

I went with a Cotton's F/M, and I now have Razor's kit waiting to install.

Your choke, point, now, is the I/C neck.

I was going to run without an I/C, until I started figuring out how much alky I'd have to carry. Out here, I get to use alot of boost, real often, so I'd be looking at having to carry gallons of alky. With the ways things are now with the F/M, I'm hoping to actually get to sub-ambient temps....

The question is, Intercooler gains with Alky.
I am assuming he means will an upgraged intercooler along with alky do anything.

If you keep the stock intercooler and add alky you still have 3 psi of backpressure across the stock intercooler that the alky can NOT give back to you.

BUT, if you add a PTE or who's ever aftermarket IC you will gain 3 more psi of efficiency out of your turbo. Alky can NOT give your turbo 3 psi of efficiency like an aftermarket IC can.

Big neck PTE IC with Alky is a deadly street/strip car.

I'm running a DIY alky kit. I first ran the stock intercooler and then added alky. I was running 12.20's. I just finished installing a PS intercooler and I am still running 12.20's but at two pounds less boost.
