I am in the market for an intercooler. I believe I want a front mount due to the fact I don't want to loose spool time. Now I don't know where to start. I have found all these different one . Jack Cottons, Thunderfab, PTE, BGC, CAS V4, Mease, action fab. I am sure there are others as well. What are the differences and which is the best for the dollar. Can get a V4 for $500 is it worth it? Also can find a BGC for about the same. I have heard good things about the mease.
Thanks
Sal

Well for a daily driver, I went with a stock location thunderfab, best bang for the buck and because the car tends to run hotter with front mount. I know a guy that said he thought the spool up was a little slower when he went with the front mount. Front mount installation is not that easy either, well compared to stock locations.

How much are the thunderfabs, got links?

I too agree that the stock location is a better idea if the car is driven in the summer with the AC on, easier to install, usually cheaper.
Front mount will make more power because its not heat soaked under the hood of the car.
BGC has 2 inch neck, but so does your 51

I have the 22 row and could not be happier........huge boost in performance.

I was actually in the same boat and recently went this route.

It was $699 shipped to my door and easy to install the intercooler because of the existing holes. I had an MPE SL with 3" neck, but it would get so hot in the summer so I wanted a front mount. I had one on my turbocharged 99 GT that ran 10s on pump gas and the intercooler was rarely warm to the touch. I did install a new water pump, ordering the dual fan setup and had the radiator re-cored.

Marc I was not really thinking of a front mount. I know there is more performance in it but really do not want to cover the Air condition condenser. These ACs aren't the best already on a hot city street and I think a front mount will make it worse. Thank you for the reply

GNGUY I thought the Thunderfab was a 20 row. That is what it says on thier website?

Sal........do you have alky injection? If not, you should do that first. Alky cools down the charge so much a bigger intercooler doesn't do anything.
