OK, I went to the junk yard and bought the whole wiper motor which includes the cover. All for $35. Supposedly came off a Regal with 69,000 miles on it. I installed it and it seems to work fine. I figured I would have to remove the whole motor anyway, just to get the cover off, due to the little torx screw on the bottom of the cover. So, I put on a whole new (used) motor.

I noticed the wipers on my 87 GN doing the same thing the day I bought it. I bought a new replacement lever thinking that was it, but after testing it and getting the same result I assume it's the module, but mine also don't always quit when you turn them off. Is that the module too?

Morki that is exactly what i have going on, they freeze in the center of the windshield on intermittant, and then they also don't want to turn off, usually though if you drive with them running and the switch off they will eventually turn off, is this all in that delay module on the wiper motor cover?
