I have Oceanic cable tv and internet. My bill is kinda high. Trying to compare other options like Hawaii telecom internet with satellite tv. Are all satellite providers available in hawaii? Is Oceanic combo the best choice?

Call your provider. We decided ours was too high and I bought an antenna. We get 60 channels. Not all are english but all the local channels and then some. So the wife called to cancel the tv part but the guy basically cut the bill in half so she kept that as it was half what we were paying. We don't get any of the movie channels or some of the fancy channel but we get all the local channels and then some , and internet.

If i had time to figure out hooking the computer to the tv the I'd just stream the stuff I want right to the tv.

You could buy a new Blu Ray player. All (or almost all) new Blu ray players have a built in Netflix, you tube etc... Apple makes a really small box called the apple tv. A cheap BR player is about $140 bucks. The Apple TV is $85 to your door for a refurbished model. Apples refurbished stuff is great cause it looks like new and you get the same warranty as if it were new.

We have a Wii that streams netflix. I want to get cbs.com and the other networks and be able to stream them. I have my eye on a couple of refurbished units on newegg.com I'm just getting the budget in line to pull the trigger.

Kind of expensive but google tv will stream other internet sites. There is the Sony google tv and has a blu ray player $400. Logitec reveu has the same google tv but with out the blu ray for about $300. Both have wireless keyboards.
