Is blocking EGR in intake necessary for ported intake?

As title says. The intake and head on my TTA were ported at some point. Were the EGR tower in the intake used to be there's now epoxy. Problem is I don't trust it. What if the epoxy falls out?

You can burn out the epoxy with a torch and have the hole welded up and not have to worry.

You will need to make sure the egr valve is left on or get a block off plate or weld it up where the valve sits.
