Well my car is down for a little while(tranny). I have a PT-51 that has smoked at start up pretty much since I got it. Too high of oil pressure on initial engine break in I think blew the oil seals or o-ring. To be honest I have never taken it off of the car to check it out as I am afraid if I start taking it apart, a million pieces will fall out.

I took my car to the track the other night and ran a 7.31 in the 1/8th at 96.7 mph with a 1.700 60 foot. 25 psi, foot brake/ebrake launch. My math tells me thats 11.33 in the 1/4. Using HP calculators online that is 585 hp at the flywheel. Can someone check my math for me here.

If so is there any more power that can be squeezed from this little turbo? Anything left in it or should I consider upgrading to a 6152?

Think 3000stall will be perfect for the CPT61 should spool like a banshee . With a 66BB Turbo you should be ok.

we ran 11.10 @ 125 with THAT turbo

Was having tranny issues. Was pushing through the lights at 8 psi. Left it in D and it was shifting at 5200 -5400. Shifting at 6K I am sure it would have given more. Still very pleased with the times:wink:

With a better 60 foot in the 1.5s and shifting at 6K???? Shoulda woulda coulda

Really don't want to put a cage in it, but if it picks up more I am sure they would boot me from the track.

Think it supports around 620hp. Where your 51 is 575 there abouts. You were smokin with the 51. Since you're having tranny issues your money might be better spent getting tranny fixed and keep the 51 spoolin.

Tranny is definitely the first priority. Waiting on funds to clear at the moment from an online poker site. While the car is down, will be getting paint if I can get it squeezed in my uncle's schedule. He quoted me an awesome deal and I won't have to worry about anyone driving it either:biggrin:

Let's just say I don't trust my mustang driving cousins.

I was checking out the Precision website: Precision Turbo & Engine - Turbocharger, Intercooler, Fuel Injector, Performance Parts & more! Is the CPT61 the same as a 6131 or 6176?

Cotton's

Check Cotton's out. You got that right about people driving our cars, I usually turn boost down so they don't joy ride and beat it.

Jack can get you the turbine you need. Call him to talk about it. The GT turbos with the 76 trim need 400 more to stall the same as a 31 trim. Big mph difference between the 2 when running high boost/rpm. The gains wont be there if running the 76 trim at low boost. Basically requiring a higher stall to get it going but not taking advantage of the potential exhaust flow up top when run at low boost/rpm.
