That is what I have on my car and I think its too much for a mild car. It's just an inefficient design, you have probably 10 ft. of 3" piping to pressurize before the charge get s the motor. I have been wanting a stock location intercooler for a while.

I have that unit on mine.I've had it on there for a long time no problems
10 second street car.

Would you have any data on it? Pressure loss, efficiency. It seems really old school but that doesn't mean it doesn't work well.

I don't know if your lookin for a stock location stretch intercooler or just a stock intercooler but I just bought a FMIC and will give you a good price on my stocker with the shroud when I take it off. Just let me know.

I have the KB "big boy" front mount intercooler that i purchased new back in 98. I've used it with a few different turbos; TE-52,TE-54,GT-6776,TE-70 and i have no complaints in the way of how the intercooler performed with any of them.

I don't have any performance data to support how effecient the IC is and by todays standards it is a small unit compared to the massive IC's available now.It just plain gets the job done and was one of the best performance upgrades i ever did.

You have to be careful though about what IC you think you have or are thinking about buying especially on ebay. I've seen a lot of knockoffs of the Kenne Bell "big boy" intercooler being sold on there and they may not be as effecient or perform as well as the REAL KB IC.
