it ain't a GN...........think that is the market (not bad for a 16 year old car.......)

azgn is right,,,it's a Turbo T made to look like a GN. If it were a GN it would've gone for $18k to $20k.

I think the GN will always bring more $$$ because the of the GN name. I thought the TTA would have been held its value better but who knows. It's all about the name recon. for the majority of the people. Always has. Dollar for dollar the GN has the better resale demand and value.

Also like Two Lane said the T-tops may have had an impact on the price as well.T-tops were probably more desireable 16 years ago.:(

I think that's plenty for that car. I personally don't like it much, the wheels look sick and it has been Gn cloned which sucks. All the chrome junk, YUk!

You guys calling it a GN clone need to do your research on the WE4....they came like that from the factory. Very little difference but it ain't no clone! I agree GN's will always bring more money because of the name but that WE4 with the mileage it has should have went for a little more.:D

Not that you aren't welcome to your opinion...

But, you know that it belonged to a board member, right?

Non-original seems to bring less average money 99% of the time.

non-original

That brings up a good point. I feel that someone who buys a TB on e-bay is well aware of these cars. There are not many bolt-on upgrades on these cars that take away from their value. Internal engine mods I shyed away from but in this case the upgrades, maybe not to everybodies liking, shouldn't have taken away from it's value. We all follow the recepies to improve these cars. If someone wants an "absolute" original TB it's to do upgrades their way which is cool but it won't stay that way. How many of us contnue to keep our cars original,? not many I'll bet. I completely agree that T's do not bring the money that GN's bring, that is no secret. A top quality WE4 should bring nearly the money of a similar mileage GN I feel, but it usually doesn't as recent history shows. It's a shame as I owned what I felt was one of the nicer WE4's around a while back. Kirban owned it twice and sold it twice so it is desireable. Somebody bought a nice car for a nice price. My humble opinion. Drew:)

Whats the deal with slamming the TR's with t-tops. I've owned both and raced both. My hard top with all the braces cracked on both the front pillars and the rear quarter supports. My t-top car with the same braces has no cracks. Besides of cool spring days and summer nights is great to roll with the tops off.

Clone???

Let's go over this again. Please explain to me in what way the seller "cloned" the Grand National.

The WE4 came without a hood ornament.
The WE4 came with black bumpers.
The WE4 came with a Grey bucket interior.

The guy made a few mods the typical Grand National owner makes and he's cloning a GN, or what? Please elaborate for us how this was a GN 'clone' job. Thanks.

Rich

A multiplicity of variables contribute to this price, and others....

One of those many variable factors is the current economy.

A lot of people unemployed and millions underemployed. This is not a poor man's hobby ;)

I wasn't slamming TRs with t-tops I own one and have owned several.I was just saying there seems to be more of a demand for solid roof TRs these days.I own both but personally I'd pay more for a solid roof TR than a t-topper.

I apologize, I glanced and thought it had GN logos on the fenders, it's a stock looking Turbo-T with different wheels. It not a clone other than the wing.

YUPPERS.....

That is a 87' T with the "black out" package. Only 1547 T's made in 87...and only 250 were all black like a GN. I know this...because I have owned one since 1991. WE4..grey interior..T emblems instead of T-Type emblems..all black..No power seats..digital dash..aluminum T wheels. As I said..I bought mine in 1991 with only 27,000 on the clock. It has has almost 200,000 now. No T-tops though.

The only bad thing is people constantly say "hey...nice GN!" I say "no...its not a GN. It's a T" They then say..."Oh...its a clone huh?" NO!!!! and its not a Monte either!! :D
