Well ive been looking for parts to buy pretty soon and i came across this kit from ATR. http://www.tobefast.com/grandnats2.htm
i was probably gonna go with the stage 5B kit but i just wanted to get everyones opinions on this type of setup good?? bad?? and would there be any other things i would have to change, fuel pump? injectors? because this will be a daily driver and reliability is the most important thing, im not trying to make a race car jsut do some basic mods to get me into the low 13's. its mainly gonna be used to get around and smoke rice rockets when necessary. thanks

you could stop at stage 4.

dont think the cold air kit is worth the extra cost.

i havent heard of to many guys who like the pitbull chips but maybe they have improved???

you can always get a chip burned by another chip vendor if your not happy with it.

Man is this ever a forehead slapper. Put the ATR catlog down and back away slowly.

I just found an old copy of the ATR catalog from 1994 in box last night and I was looking through it and laughing at the parts they say you NEED to run XX.XXX ET. Boy times have changed...but their catalog hasn't.

#1 you need a fuel pump. Ramchargers has the hookup for $89 in the May specials. Act fast.

A K&N cone filter is $40

A Hooker exhaust from Summit or jegs will set you back $300

Get a "237" regulator from the junkyard for $5 or an ajustable for $90.

Thrasher chips...say a T100 or T108 for stock injectors.

Perform the free/low buck mods from GNT-type.org

Add sticky tires and some race gas and you are in the low 12's for way less than the ATR method, which is leaving out many other parts you'll need (like a fuel pump and a FP regulator).

If you want the stainess exhaust, get the $529 3B kit. The extra stuff in the 4B and 5b isn't worth another $300.

Listen to UNGN, he knows what he is talking about. :) He has set me straight a few times. ;) You will notice that my signature is exactly what he just recomended to you. (minus the chip, its in the mail):D In my opinion, that kit is a huge waste of money.

First go here and do everything on the list. You need to make sure your car is running correctly (not just good) in stock form. Check you belt and hoses while your at it.

Then go here and check out some of the recipe cars. Proven combinations on cars that yield lower ET's for less money. Isn't that what it's all about?:p

I'm not knocking ATR products, I think they make a lot of good things. You must remember that they are trying to sell you as many products as they can whether they are necessary or not.
